I’ve always been drawn to spaces that spark creativity, conversation, and connection. I looked around and realized… that place didn’t exist here in Bloomington. So, I decided to build it.

Chapters & Brews isn’t just a café. It’s not just a bookstore. And it’s definitely not just another bar. It’s all of those things—seamlessly blended into one space that evolves with you throughout the day. A place where you can start your morning with locally roasted coffee and a good book, find a cozy corner to work or reflect in the afternoon, and unwind in the evening with a craft cocktail.

We believe in supporting local makers, sourcing ingredients and coffee from nearby partners, and creating an atmosphere where everyone feels like they belong. Whether you’re someone chasing a deadline or someone just looking for a meaningful connection, you’ll find your people here.

I don’t come from the café world. I don’t have a history of running coffee shops or bars. What I do have is a deep love for experiences that bring people together—and a mind that thrives on solving problems and making things work better. That’s why I’m approaching this like every other challenge: by surrounding myself with the right people, learning every day, and refusing to settle for anything less than a space that truly feels like home for the community we’re building.
